A Youth Offender panel is made up of two volunteers recruited directly from the local community alongside one member of the multi-agency Youth Offending Team.
The panel will meet with the young person and their parents/carer to talk about the reasons for the offending behaviour and to discuss a way forward. The Panel will agree an individual contract aimed at making amends to the victim and / or community, reducing the risk factors associated with their offending behaviour and increasing the protective factors.
