Purpose of the Role We would like to give someone the opportunity and experience to work on the Cheshire West Citizens Advice website as a Website Author Volunteer. This would involve supporting the IT Support Officer to develop the website further and update key information. The branding of Citizens Advice is currently changing and so it would be very helpful to have a volunteer with some design skills who can take the website in an agreed direction.
Main Duties and Responsibilities The Website Author Volunteer will be asked to: - Update information on the website by liaising with the key members of staff - Add a creative flair to the website using design skills or website authoring knowledge - Keep up to date with changes and projects within the organization for communication through the website - Work closely with the IT Support Manager to ensure content meets the requirements and regulations of the website - Take on some social media duties as and when required - Improve the organization’s Facebook page maintaining the websites imagery and design
Skills and Qualities We are looking for a Website Author Volunteer who: - Has some skills and experience in developing websites - Can take direction from the team but also be creative and use their own initiative - Has good verbal and written communication skills - Can work as part of a team - Can ensure that their work is easy to follow and organized for other members of staff
A DBS Check will be required for this role
