Could you be a Trustee?
Chester Street Pastors play an active part in strengthening community life and working for a safer city centre. It has been involved in helping the City of Chester achieve a Purple Flag standard of excellence in managing the night time economy. Trustees are key, enabling the charity to function and develop its future. You will attend bi-monthly meetings and give a little time each month doing some administrative work. You will need to have some basic computer skills, have an empathy with Christian beliefs and the vision of the Street Pastors.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Administration of governance.
Submit an annual report to the Charity Commission.
Update Charity details with Charity Commission and Ascension Trust.
Keep up to date with the latest information sent by the Charity Commission.
Consult with Ascension Trust’s legal team for advice on trustee matters.
Report any reportable incidents to Charity Commission and Ascension Trust.
Holder of Health & Safety Policy, which must be reviewed annually.
Holder of the charity governing documents and Ascension Trust licences. Must be fully conversant
with the documents policies to advise other trustees of correct procedures.
Liaise as necessary with Treasurer.
Suitability for role:
Experience of charitable constitution and membership issues.
Empathy with Christian beliefs and the vision of Street Pastors Christian.
Available for bi monthly evening meetings plus time availability when the role requires – not envisaged to average out to be in excess of 4 hours a month.
