If you love meeting new people and enjoy social events, then this is the perfect role for you! We are ideally looking for a commitment of two hours, two afternoons a week which can be flexible to fit alongside existing commitments for the right individual.
To assist a group of lively and engaging older people to plan and enjoy inclusive and accessible activities and events both at the Sheltered Housing Scheme and out and about in the local community, such as lunches and trips out, craft sessions, quizzes, and anything else that springs to mind!
To adhere to the policies and procedures laid out in the volunteer handbook which will be explained during the induction process.
PREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
No qualifications are required for this role; however a positive outlook, outgoing personality and an understanding of some of the issues facing older people, and a desire to support active and independent ageing is essential.
All required training will be provided, as well as personal development and further learning opportunities relevant to the role.
