Description

Rural Community Service is a small local charity dedicated in providing OPAL services (Older People Active Lives) for the benefit of socially isolated older people living in rural West Cheshire.

We need lead volunteers to help within our Tarporley OPAL Club. The club runs weekly on a Friday and for many of our members it is the only time they get out to meet with others in their local community, where they enjoy activities and a two course meal. All we ask for is your commitment once a month for 6 hours.

Role:

Lead volunteers help to run the club when it is open. This volunteer role is instrumental in the set up and running of the club on the day.

-Meet and greet members

-Make tea and coffee

-Serve lunch

-Instigate and join in activities

-Offer friendship and conversation

-Have an awareness of health and safety at all times

Full training will be provided with on-going support offered when you are on duty.

Only registered members can apply for opportunities.
