I would like to introduce you to a small charity in Cheshire called the Neuromuscular Centre. We provide a range of services for adults and young people with muscular dystrophy, a severe muscle wasting condition. These services include physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, support and advice, and training in Graphic Design and IT often leading to sheltered employment opportunities within our very own social enterprise; NMC Design+Print.
Last year we set our very own fishing club up, we purchased poles with elastic fitted, various rigs, other bits and bobs to make a successful days fishing. We hold our fishing days at Old Hough Fisheries Middlewich, Cheshire and Cheshire oaks, this years dates are, 26th May at Old Hough – Middlewich, 30th June Cheshire Oaks, 21st July Old Hough – Middlewich, 11th August Cheshire Oaks, 8th September Old Hough – Middlewich, it will be for around 12 to 15 people that have muscular dystrophy some people are already wheelchair users that have enjoyed fishing in the past, some have no experience but would love to have a go. I am trying to build a group of volunteers up to assist us on our angling days, it would be great to get retired experienced anglers with a bit of time on there hands, our club can only work as long as we have volunteers, in return for any help we provide lunch and hot drinks.
Any support would be very much appreciated,
I look forward to hearing from you.
