Are you an energetic people person who enjoys the outdoors and wants to make a difference to your community?
We are looking for people of all ages, living in Cheshire, who are confident with communicating and can encourage, support and motivate over 55s to get active to improve their health and wellbeing.
Eight million people live just 1km from our waterways. With your help we will be able to deliver activities along our waterways that appeal to local communities, helping them to get active and enjoy happier, healthier lives.
As an Active Waterways Volunteer you will act as a mentor, motivator and support network for anyone taking part in the project and you will collect feedback from participants in order to identify improvements that can be made to the project.
You don’t need any specialist knowledge, just enthusiasm and interest in supporting people to get active.
