Could you be a Trustee?

Chester Street Pastors play an active part in strengthening community life and working for a safer city centre. It has been involved in helping the City of Chester achieve a Purple Flag standard of excellence in managing the night time economy. Trustees are key, enabling the charity to function and develop its future.  You will attend bi-monthly meetings and give a little time each month doing some administrative work. You will need to have some basic computer skills, have an empathy with Christian beliefs and the vision of the Street Pastors.

Treasurer role

Responsibilities and Duties:

Management of Bank accounts and banking requirements.

Management of online bank accounts and authorising payments.

Production of financial reports and forecasts for bi-monthly Management Team meeting.

Production of annual financial reports for Charity Commission and other partners.

Complete Gift Aid applications with HMRC.

Holder of financial policies and ethical purchases policies, which must be reviewed annually.

Liaise as necessary with Funding and Governance Trustees.

Suitability for role:

Experience of financial recording, planning and control.

Good basic computer skills and have experience of online banking, government websites and using spreadsheet programmes.

Empathy with Christian beliefs and the vision of Street Pastors.

Able to give a minimum of 8 hours a month which is the time allocation expected to fulfil the role described.
