About the opportunity
Could you make a difference to a child's or young person's life and have some time to spare on a Monday evening from 4pm-6pm? Then, the Children's Society in Northwich would love to hear from you.
The charity is looking for Youth Group Session Volunteers, who can play a positive part in delivering a variety of group activities for young people aged between 8 and 13. By supporting, encouraging and motivating young people to take part in activities, you will help young people to make friends, develop better social skills and gain self confidence.
In return you will enjoy the rewards and satisfaction of helping children to grow and develop with confidence and making a valuable contribution to a national children's charity.
Our network of programmes includes drop-in services for runaways, children's centres and support for young carers. We support children who are refugees from violence, and we give those in care a voice.
In hard times, children are among the hardest hit. We don't just help them survive - we help them flourish.
Volunteers must be 18 years and over, a good role model, non judgemental with a keen interest in mentoring young people and flexible.
DBS checks will be essential.
