About the opportunity
Alternative Future Group provides person centred support to those with learning disabilities or those with mental health needs. They also recognise that every individual has dreams and aspirations and are looking to facilitate woodwork sessions to the people they support.
This role is an incredibly rewarding and will involve working with a small group of people, who are recovering from mental illness, within the Ellesemere Port area. All of whom are interested in and want to learn and develop their woodwork skills.
With your mentoring, not only could you help people to learn, create and achieve, you would also enjoy sharing the passion you have for your skill as well as making a real positive difference to peoples lives. This would also be a good role for anyone wishing to gain skills in coaching or thinking of going into teachers training.
So, if you have some time to spare on a regular basis, and would gain the satisfaction of sharing your skill with others who also want to learn, then you time and skill will be warmly received. No doubt, you will be friendly and approachable and non judgemental and because of this, you will enjoy working with like minded team members that already support and work within the charity. A DBS Check will be required.
