You would be volunteering for EPNAVCO, a membership organisation which works to support, promote and facilitate the development of a strong, diverse, confident and effective voluntary and community sector in the borough of Ellesmere Port.  This position is ideal for anyone interested in education, literacy and employment and for someone who enjoys working with and supporting others. Help advise, inform and support others when using computers and websites.

EPNAVCO's Volunteer Drop-in Centre will help others find volunteer opportunities and access free online course through our UK Online Centre.  This rewarding position gives Volunteer Support Workers chances to support local people from a diverse backgrounds and experiences with initial and ongoing guidance, training and support from EPNAVCO's team alongside access to other free training provided by EPNAVCO and other providers in the area.

There are opportunities to expand on your role within the organisation.

The following would be beneficial to anyone applying: good communication skills including basic to intermediate computer literacy, good time keeping, willingness to oversee the care and support of clients and the equipment being used during the drop in centre hours, be patient, considerate and of a caring nature, know the importance of confidentiality and be willing to participate in training and other development opportunities.  Experience of teaching, mentoring and training is not essential but candidates should be enthusiastic, empathetic and open to meeting people from diverse communities. Offices situated in Community Hub, Whitby Road (Next to RBS Bank) Ellesmere Port.
