Volunteers are required to support the Good Company Social Group. Good Company is a social group for disabled adults. Individuals that attend the group come and have fun and are involved in a range of activities, examples of activities include; games, cookery, arts, drama, gardening, singing, cinema visits, bowling and meals out.
Volunteers will support adults aged 19 + within the group or on a 1:1 to take part in activities. This a rewarding role for anyone that has a couple of hours free a week. This is good experience for anyone that wants to progress in a career working with disabled people. Support workers are also required for day trips throughout the summer months.
Volunteers should be: Reliable, honest, patient, enthusiastic, none-judgmental, willing to learn new skills and committed to the inclusion of disabled young people. No formal qualifications are required.
