Station House Café, Whitegate is staffed mostly by local volunteers, and a small number of paid staff, as a not for profit community organisation. The food is freshly prepared to order and our coffees or teas can be made to suit your tastes. You can relax indoors or outside in the friendly, homely atmosphere, before or after enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the Whitegate Way and Vale Royal, Cheshire.
The café is open 7 days a week from 10am to 3pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm weekends and Bank Holidays. Get to us on Clay Lane just over the humped back bridge with the traffic lights on. We are also on the Whitegate Way. We’d be delighted to meet you and look after you for a while.
As we are in a semi-rural location it is probably more practical for potential volunteers to understand that unless they are local they will need to arrange transport to get to the café as public transport is quite infrequent in Whitegate!
For volunteers wanting to help out in the café we usually work in small teams along with a ‘team leader’ or responsible adult, and we also work with teenager volunteers. We would normally request volunteers to complete a shift of morning (10am – 1pm) or afternoon (12 noon – 3pm or 4pm at weekends and bank hols).
