We are looking to recruit a diverse range of volunteers to support newly release ex offenders from HMPPS Risley. Volunteers will provide one to one mentoring support to adult males resettling back into the community across greater Manchester and Cheshire with the ultimate goal of helping to break the cycle of re-offending.

Volunteers will be meeting with their assigned Mentee for a minimum of one hour a week, creating actions plans and working towards achieving individual goals set with their mentee. This can be anything to do with Accommodation, education employment and training, drugs and alcohol, finance, health and wellbeing, family and relationships and attitude thinking and behaviour.

No previous experience is necessary. Volunteers will need to have a genuine belief that people are deserving of inclusion, they will need to be able to encourage, motivate and empower challenging individuals and provide Project Workers with written reports on time. All training is provided.

Only registered members can apply for opportunities.
