Description

Volunteers play a key role in supporting Save the Family's work with homeless families. Volunteering with Save the Family is a perfect way to spend a few of hours, refresh a CV, meet new people and use your skills while helping others in need. Save the Family provide a safe and supported community for homeless and troubled families where safeguarding is paramount. Our vision is to keep families together and help them create a positive future.

This role will require a volunteer to take the lead in the kitchen helping to prepare meals for staff, residents, volunteers and visitors for our popular Community Lunches. Community lunches take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays so we are looking for someone to volunteer for one or both days. At times, you may be joined in the kitchen by other volunteers and residents so you will need to work as part of a team and be willing to show others the ropes.

An interest in cooking and working with others is key to this role. Volunteers who enjoy taking the lead and are confident socialising with others would be suitable for this role.

Only registered members can apply for opportunities.
