Description

Objective

To welcome visitors and provide a seamless and enjoyable visit to Storyhouse

Outline of Tasks

  • Welcome visitors to Storyhouse and direct to the theatre
  • Direct to theatre, facilities, bar, restaurant
  • Check tickets and direct to appropriate door / seats
  • Assist visitors with access requirements
  • Assist with any latecomers
  • Monitor audience behaviour during show, offering assistance if required
  • Assist in safe evacuation of the theatre if an incident occurs
  • Attend regular training updates
  • Report any issues to Front of House manager
  • Check theatre after audience has left for any belongings, litter pick-up etc

Report to

  • Day to day reporting to Volunteer co-ordinator or her deputy
  • Whilst on shift, report to designated manager on duty

Location

Storyhouse main theatre and Garrett studio theatre

Expectations / Dress

  • Smart casual dress; uniform shirt / blouse provided
  • Commitment to 2 shifts per month
