An interesting volunteer role with the TWISTA Team to backup and support the programme that is providing mentors in the Cheshire area for boys and girls in Year 9. This is a programme seeking to address anti-social behaviour by providing mentors to help keep the young people on the right path.
The Volunteer Coordinator is part of the team and will ensure that all Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks are undertaken via the relevant school or youth group. The work involves the keeping of both paper and computer records and the ability to process private and confidential data. You will be a point of contact for the mentors and support youth groups with the risk assessment process. Volunteers will also attend TWISTA sessions, compile reports, provide updates to Policing Units, assist Police Community Support Officer and update social media sites and information.
A commitment of at least 12 months is required to ensure that support is available for the duration of the programme. The commitment will be for a minimum of 8 hours per month, approximately 2 to 3 hours per week. This role is available throughout the Cheshire Constabulary area. You need excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Possess a full driving licence.
