Attending quarterly board meetings, and contributing to the running of our charity. Our board is quite "hands-on", and so we expect our trustees to contribute to the organisation in accordance with their skill set and the needs of the charity. Recently our trustees have been: facilitating a staff feedback forum, helping run an open day, providing the charity manager with financial management support and providing guidance with fundraising.
Ideally, our trustees would have some experience of at least one of the following: organisational management, charity management, learning disabilities, autism, financial management or running a social enterprise. The Bren Project puts the beneficiary first in everything we do: understanding and agreeing with those values is the most important thing for any new trustee.
