A local Credit Union is looking for a volunteer to join their Supervisory Committee. The successful person will ideally have experience in systems and/or operations management with an enquiring and analytical approach. This role would suit someone with an accountancy qualification or with financial experience and these skills would be a distinct advantage to the committee. West Cheshire Credit Union is a 'not for profit' Financial Services organisation, helping members gain greater control of their finances and lives throughout Cheshire. The Supervisory Committee inspects and reports on the Credit Unions operations on behalf of its members to ensure that the Credit Union operates effectively and to the highest standards.

This role is flexible and does not necessarily mean a fixed commitment of a certain number of hours a week, but daytime availability would be an advantage. The commitment will be approximately 4 hours per month. Area of volunteering will be mainly in Chester and/or Ellesmere Port, so a degree of mobility is required for this role. Help and full training will be given.

Accountancy, knowledge of finance or auditing and committee work. Knowledge of systems and operations management. An interest in helping others gain control of financial problems .

Could be working in Ellesmere Port and Chester
