Description

To raise awareness of sight loss by facilitating activities for care home staff. You will be offering information about Vision Support and RNIB services that residents can access.

To raise awareness to staff of services available for residents and offer a referral to Vision Support and RNIB services. To provide impartial sight loss information to care home staff. To establish and maintain good relationships with care home staff and managers. Adhere to all Vision Support and RNIB confidentiality, data protection and Information Governance procedures.

Skills:

An effective communicator with active listening skills. Confidence to speak to a wide range of people. Ability to use your own initiative within the remit of the role. Ability to empathise with people affected by sight loss. To have an interest in and commitment to the aims and objectives of Vision Support and RNIB. Work efficiently to and adhere to agreed procedures and processes. To contribute to recording systems. To be flexible, approachable and reliable.
