To provide one to one support and encouragement to children/young people who are receiving support from Catch 22's services in Cheshire and it is felt that they would benefit from the support of a Peer Mentor.

To attend an initial meeting with the Child/Young person and the Family Practitioner/ Key Worker to be introduced, discuss the plan going forward and define the focus of the relationship.
To meet the young person for approximately 2-4 Hours a week in a one to one situation for a sustained period of time to be agreed with Volunteer Coordinator. (Minimum of 6 months).
To deliver with a Solution Focussed Approach for which brief training will be provided.
To create a positive relationship with the child/young person and provide them with a suitable role model.
To advise/assist/support and motivate the child/young person into developing skills which will assist them in achieving and maintaining their goals.
To maintain regular contact with the allocated Family Practitione/ Key Worker and Volunteer Coordinator.
To provide written information on work undertaken by filling in contact sheets as required.
To attend training as required.
Attend regular support and supervision sessions.
