Could you help to be a friend and support an adult with learning difficulties to access leisure or community activities? The Support volunteer will help someone access leisure and sports facilities at local facilities. This can cover a wide range of activities.
You will support one person, build a relationship with them and offer the appropriate support for them to take part in an activity. The role is subject to a DBS check.
HF Trust recruits volunteers who will be given support to make, develop and maintain friendships and relationships. You will join a friendly team that supports people to take part in ordinary activities, do everyday things like go on a shopping trip, going for a swim, out for a coffee, to the cinema, go for a walk, have an outing or go for a meal.
As well as having fun and enjoying this role it will give a volunteer experience in being part of a team, respecting confidentiality, risk assessment and developing your communication skills.

Off Stanney Lane in Ellesmere Port. 2 to 3 hours per week. Induction training , covering information about learning disabilities, current legislation, confidentiality, health & safety, communication skills, first aid and Safeguarding.
