Knead and Feed sessions involve volunteers participating in communal bread making and soup which is sold in the community cafe. The community cafe provides meals, soups, refreshments and cakes and a place to meet. Friendly atmosphere. Fresh bread and soup made daily by volunteers.
There is a training kitchen available. No specific skills needed. Interest in wholesome food and bread making is useful but not essential. Opportunity to take a food hygiene certificate is offered. Volunteers work together as a group in the preparation of the food. In the soup preparation sharp knives are used for cutting vegetables. Volunteers need to be over 16 years. Cafe open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday daytime.
