Would you like to help a heritage site maintain its surroundings, consisting of trees, lawns and flowerbeds? The role will include most gardening type activities including use of equipment such as strimmers and lawn mowers. The volunteer role on site does mean that you may be doing gardening activities alone.
Volunteers can lend a hand with the mowing throughout the summer and autumn if you can manage the lawn mowers. Or you can use your knowledge of gardening and gardening activities, to maintain the garden and plants. You will need enough experience to be able to identify what plants are weeds and which are planted flowers and shrubs. You need to be responsible and able to manage machinery or equipment used in the maintenance of the gardens and site safely.
However if you just like to do lots of mowing there is also role for you in this large site.
Some experience of gardening and using gardening equipment, lawn mowers and strimmers would be very useful. Willing to tackle big and small jobs and able to work alone if necessary. Some idea of seasonal work in the garden would be useful.
