The branch provides support and information to people affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the local area. We are looking for a fundraising officer to work with the branch committee and other volunteers to develop and help implement a branch fundraising plan to support the work for the MS Society at regional and national levels.
The responsibilities are to :
Work with others to develop and agree an annual fundraising plan with the branch committee and branch members, to ensure that the branch fulfills the fundraising section of the Core Branch Activities
Operate a fundraising sub committee to plan and arrange support for fundraising events(liaison with the Chair and other committee members)
Co-ordinate volunteer help in relation to fundraising activities
Ensure that appropriate licences, permit, insurance cover etc is in place for fundraising events
Keep up to date with guidance and information on national fundraising initiatives from the MS National centre.
Liaise with the MS society's corporate fundraising team concerning applications to companies or trusts
Maintain contact with the region and other branches with regard to regional fundraising projects
Provide support and advice to the general public who wish to raise funds for the branch
Work with the treasurer to ensure that all funds raised are counted and banked quickly and safely.
Willingness to work as part of a team, good communications skills, ability to see ideas through, and some fundraising experience would be of benefit but is not essential.
Must be over 18 years old
