Sense is searching for organised and professional individuals capable of engaging with their local community on behalf of the charity. Our Volunteer Fundraising Co-ordinator will be our voice at a local level looking to promote Sense through events and other opportunities and communicating these back to the Fundraising Team.
Working with the Community Fundraising Team on Sense events in the local area.
Organizing your own fundraising events.
Sourcing venues for regular support and businesses for raffle prizes.
Engaging with local businesses and maintaining that relationship.
Organizing/recruiting volunteers for local supermarket collections/charity stands.
Keeping good records of volunteers and collection tins in the designated area.
Our Volunteer Co-ordinators are organized individuals capable of managing local fundraising events and involving possible supporters in Sense's activities. As a member of our team you should be able to work independently and your communication skills should be paramount making the Community Fundraising Team aware of your activities regularly. You will be the first point of contact for volunteers in your area.
This position is completely flexible and successful candidates are able to designate as much time to Sense fundraising as they wish. However, we do ask that the lines of communication are left open in a monthly telephone update.
We also ask you to commit to a minimum of approximately 2 hours per week as a volunteer.
Our team is on hand to support you with applications for street licenses, nominations for local volunteer awards, PR and advertising. You will be a crucial part of the team and updated regularly on events within the organisation,. All forms of experience and education can be a benefit to this very social position.
