Methodist Homes , a national charity, are looking for an Fundraising Assistant to help the charity improve the quality of life to its members and residents, who are elderly and often experience isolation and loneliness.
This is a diverse and rewarding involves:
- Help to organize and deliver fundraising events and activities
-Assisting other team members to identify appropriate sources of funding
-Help promote organized events, such a leaflet mailings, poster distribution, and word of mouth advertising within the local community.
-To be aware of the Methodist Homes Sunday event (one of the most successful annual events)
-Interact with residents, their families and external groups/organisations
-Attend and take part at Volunteer meetings and Volunteer training
In return, you will contribute hugely to a national charity to help improve the life of the charity's scheme members and residents as well as the local community. You will also have the opportunity to gain new skills through training which is provided by Methodist Homes.
As this role will involve lots of interaction with people. Skills required include:
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to engage with the community
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to engage in training and development sessions
- Willingness to become familiar with Health and Safety practices
- To maintain confidentiality at all times
Chapelfields Road is off the Main Street in the centre of Frodsham
Must be over 18 years old
