Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service attend many shows, fairs and corporate events throughout the year to promote CFRS fire safety campaigns. To do this we have a fleet of exhibition vehicles, including our popular kitchen Safety Unit. All of these vehicles will need to be located, set up and at times operated, before during and after the various events. These can range from fire station open days, events and county show. The events team help to make this happen and manage/organise/timetable and liaise with the different locations and organisations holding the events.
Each team member will be offered the opportunity to be tested to drive non-operational Fire and Rescue Service Vehicles and will be provided with uniform and ID
Volunteers need good team working skills as they are essential for this role. Experience of planning. Good communication skills with your team and the public. Experience in Events Management, publicity and Marketing would be useful in this role.
Drivers can be tested to drive non-operational fire and rescue vintage and non-vintage vehicles.
Events take place throughout Cheshire West. Applicants need to be 18+ and the application process will take between 10 to 12 weeks. Mileage is paid and uniform and ID is provided.
