Drivers wanted to help an organisation transport people to specific services in the local area. If you have some time to give you can help by providing safe and regular transport for people who cannot access the services without transport. You will need to have access to your own vehicle. You will assist service users, communicate with them and ensure they have travel information. You will also liaise with designated escort where applicable. Drivers will require an enhanced DBS check. You need to be a good listener, have good communication skills and patience. The service users have Alzheimers and will need your help and reassurance. This is a great opportunity for anyone considering a career or training in the care sector and will give you experience of caring, risk assessing and learning about dementia. This role will give you confidence helping others, proove your reliability and enhance your communication skills.
Driving skills, good communication skills. Knowledge of Health and Safety would be useful.
Punctual and reliable. Basic knowledge of risk assessments, confidentiality procedures, dementia would all be useful but training is available. Must have all required paperwork for car/vehicle being used.
