Description

The Hot Dog drama and film group comprises of adults with learning disabilities and meets weekly on Tuesday afternoons. In recent years the group has developed into a film-making outfit, and are currently making their fourth film (previous titles include a western, medieval battle epic and old-style silent movie). The group is run by a professional actress and individuals are supported by staff where needed. We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic individual who would be interested in becoming part of the Hot Dog team.

The minimum commitment per week for this opportunity is 2 hours. This is an opportunity to join a friendly team and to gain experience, not only of working with those who have learning disabilities, but also in supporting drama workshops and becoming involved in film work. We require a volunteer to support at regular rehearsals on Tuesday afternoons (1:30-3:30) Volunteers are required to have good communication skills, drama interest/experience, a friendly and patient personality with the ability to work as part of a team.

All Applicants need to be 18+ and to apply with an Application Form References are required and a DBS check will be needed.
