Community fundraising is at the centre of how the charity raises funds to deliver a real difference at a local level within the community. Your skill, your time and dedication would make a massive difference to help to plan and organise a number of fundraising events during the year based within your local community. You will also use your people skills to help coordinate fundraisers volunteers.
Volunteers in this role will typically:
-help to promote volunteering, encouraging new people to join the Society
-help new volunteers to settle in, keeping in regular contact and helping them to stay involved with local fundraising events and identify development opportunities.
-take a leadership role in planning and organising community fundraising activities events that will give the society the best income results as well as helping to secure help form volunteers.
-complete basic community fundraising paperwork and follow money handling and relevant banking procedures
-attend local meetings; work closely with the Community Fundraiser
This is a flexible role in terms of hours. However in order to achieve continuity, regular volunteering is required.
