Be a charity trustee of Ellesmere Port Sea Cadet Unit and play an active role in the Unit Management Committee (UMC) which supports the Unit and assist the UMC Chairman in managing an efficient and successful youth charity.
The UMC collectively:
a) Raise funds to pay for the running costs incurred by the Unit
b) Raise funds to provide equipment for the cadet activities and other projects as they arise.
c) Help maintain a suitable venue/building in which the cadets can parade and meet
d) Ensure the Unit has appropriate and sufficient staff
e) Ensure the safety and welfare of the young people who use the Unit premises is maintained in accordance with the policies in place to protect the cadets and volunteers.
f) Ensure the various legal and organisational responsibilities are met and properly managed.
No direct experience is required, but enthusiasm is essential and business related skills are desirable.
