Every weekend across the UK there are thousands of young people involved in Sea Cadet Activities- learning new skills that will give them a head start in life. In fact, we work with 14.000 Sea Cadets aged between 10 and 18- and are the largest maritime youth charity with a history dating back to 1856.
We need your help. We need volunteers who are happy to roll up their sleeves. get involved and make a huge positive difference to the lives of young people we work with.
We have lots of roles to match your skills and we offer training to help you gain more. You can speak to your local unit to find out how you can get involved.
We are looking for volunteers to help make a difference behind the scenes.
Assist with the running of the Unit
Attend monthly management committee meetings
Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of young people
Ensure activities are safe and procedures are followed
Support fundraising and business planning activities
Ensure the building and equipment are maintained and safe
Help recruiting volunteers and young people
Ensure charity law and governance requirements are complied with
Previous experience of trusteeship is useful but not necessary.
