We offer volunteering opportunities for those who are interested in working with children and young people. As an Independent visitor you will develop a positive relationship by having fun and befriending a child or young person in the care of Cheshire West and Chester Social Care. You may prefer to support our sporting projects by being part of a team that works with children and young people at risk of social exclusion. By actively encouraging the involvement of children and young people in positive sporting activities or by becoming their 'independent visitor' you will be helping them to make their way into their future with the confidence and motivation needed to achieve. All our volunteers receive training and support of a volunteer co-ordinator to ensure professional development needs are met.

Any skills you have that will compliment our work we value and will put to good use.  However, the most important qualities are those that help children and young people to learn to trust and engage.  It is essential that you like children and young people and are happy to listen and learn from them, as well as being a positive role model that children and young people enjoy spending time with. A Criminal Record Check (DBS) will be required.

Unit 1 Theatre Court is behind the job centre and opposite the motorbike shop on London Road, Northwich, close to the town centre.
N.B. If travelling by car, London Road is a one-way street.

Only registered members can apply for opportunities.
