About the opportunity
Working with a team of passionate volunteers and staff on a busy retail floor, you will play an important role in delivering a great customer experience to customers that visit a local charity retail shop. This is a varied role, as no day is ever the same as the last, giving your the opportunity to develop a host of skills with the full support of the team. Working as a team you will make a valuable contribution by:
- Greet and serve customers
- complete till transactions
- Sell badges, raffle tickets
- promote add on sales
To help you hit the ground running, it would be advantageous if you have experience of operating a till or handling money. More importantly, you simply need to possess lots of enthusiasm and motivation and have time to spare on a regular basis.
In return, you will learn or develop great customer service skills, develop and gain retail experience, develop PC till skills and work with like minded people who already work with or volunteer with the charity. Not to mention, you will have fun and get to meet new friends whilst gaining the satisfaction of making a valuable contribution to a national charity at a local level.
This role is specifically looking for a volunteer with till experience, whether in retail or another organisation.
References are required and an application form needs to be completed to apply. Volunteers have to be over the age of 16 and will be given a trial period.
