Description

The EPNAVCO Befriending Service will provide a supportive and confidential service for adults who are living within the Ellesmere Port & Neston area.
People accessing the service will include those who are socially isolated or who have been identified as needing support.  We hope the Befriending Service will assist people and their carers practically and emotionally throughout.
Volunteers will play an important role in the Befriending Service and will receive and Induction Programme to the Service together with ongoing support throughout their Volunteering by the Co-ordinator of the project.
Training relevant to the role will also be available.
  • To support an adult experiencing living in loneliness or has mobility issues through visiting a person identified by the Service in their own home, having time to listen to the person can empower them, improve good mental wellbeing, and build confidence and self esteem.
