Description

Would you like to help visually impaired people.  Volunteers visit visually impaired people at home who may be housebound or live alone and ensure that they are receiving any other services they need.  This opportunity will also help to relieve social isolation.  You will discuss and listen to the clients needs and match them to services that can provide them for the client. DBS check and references will be required and application time will depend on how long the DBS takes. Must be over 18.

Volunteers need good communication skills.  You need to be friendly and have an interest in meeting people from all walks of life.  You need the ability to listen sensitively.

Suit someone who wants some flexibility in a volunteer role but can help for 2 to 3 hours per week.  Mileage is paid and support given.

Only registered members can apply for opportunities.
