About the opportunity

Do you enjoy cake making and baking? Could you pass on that knowledge to residents to help them develop an interest and skills in cooking and baking?
Are you profficient and imaginative and could you coach others to get involved in baking? This is an interesting role for anyone interesting in cake making and baking and has the enthusiasm to pass on the skills and knowledge to others.
The organisation provides services and support for those with a range of physical and mental health conditions including, learning disabilities and dementia. Volunteers are vital in helping us go the extra mile in providing excellent care and support services. The support, encouragement and understanding provided by our volunteers helps the people who use our services to feel less isolated, gain confidence and give them the freedom to enjoy an everyday life. People who volunteer usually find they become more confident themselves and all our volunteers are supported to access training opportunities and develop new skills
Making Space-Encourages people of all ages and abilities to get hands on with their range of workshops and courses.
Provides a supportive and creative work-space for professional visual artists and designer makers to practice with professional development, networking and teaching opportunities.

Volunteers need to have Baking and cooking skills. An interest and skills in cake making. An interest in teaching others to bake and cook would be very useful for this role.
Friendly nature, good communication skills, interesting ideas and able to plan sessions to deliver help and information to residents about baking and cake making.
