Busy athletics club is looking for keen volunteers who would like to help and also gain a coaching qualification through their volunteer role. Are you interested in coaching, assisting qualified coaches, learning coaching techniques or gain experience of sports related coaching? If you are this opportunity could help you gain an insight into sports coaching and the skills you need to develop to be a sports coach. Volunteers will receive hands-on experience of helping at an athletics club training session by assisting UK athletics qualified coaching staff at West Cheshire Athletic Club and learn how to plan training sessions and communicate with enthusiastic athletes.
There is a complete age range of athletes who use the club in events such as road running, cross country running, track and field events, plus indoor sports hall athletics throughout the year.

A helpful and friendly personality is needed.  You will need to help and communicate effectively at sports meeting and training sessions.  Willing to help qualified coaches and lend a hand at club training sessions, assisting generally with events.  Any relevant qualifications will be useful, but willing helpful pleasant attitude is the  most important quality needed by any volunteers. A DBS Check will be required.

Under 11s meet on a Tuesday night and Saturday morning.  Other age groups meet on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday.  Situated at Stanney Oaks Leisure Centre (next door to David Lloyd Racquets Club) on Stanney Lane in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
