Volunteers are required to support the Good Company Social Group. Good Company is a social group for disabled adults based in Chester on a Wednesday evening from 6 - 8pm.
Individuals that attend the group come and have fun and are involved in a range of activities, examples of activities include; games, cookery, arts, drama, gardening, singing, cinema visits, bowling and meals out. As a result of attending the groups individuals grow in confidence and increase their self esteem, they are able to reach their full potential and develop relationships with their peers. Volunteers will support adults aged 19 + within the group or on a 1:1 to take part in activities. This a rewarding role for anyone that has a couple of hours free a week. This is good experience for anyone that wants to progress in a career working with disabled people. Support workers are also required for day trips throughout the summer months.
Reliable, honest, patient, enthusiastic, none-judgemental, willing to learn new skills and committed to the inclusion of disabled young people. No formal qualifications are required.
