Hairdresser wanted to cut, wash, set and blow dry service users' hair for some of the inpatients in the older people's ward in the Bowmere Hospital.  This is a very rewarding role for a volunteer with hairdressing skills.  Volunteers have access to NHS training courses while volunteering.
Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) was set up in 2002 to provide mental health, learning disability, child and adolescent mental health and drug and alcohol services to almost a million people who live in Cheshire and Wirral. The Bowmere Hospital is based on the Countess of Chester Health Park in Chester and opened in 2005 on a self-contained campus which provides a comfortable and private environment for service users.
Cut, wash, set and blow dry only (the use of clippers, razors, straighteners or heated rollers will not be permitted). Qualified in hairdressing; likes meeting and helping people; an interest in Learning Disabilities and Mental Health; good interaction and interpersonal skills.
The Bowmere Hospital is based on the Countess of Chester Health Park in Chester and opened in 2005 on a self-contained campus which provides a comfortable and private environment for service users with learning disabilities and mental health issues.  DBS check will be required.  Expenses are paid and additional hair product expenses are paid .
