We seek additional trustees to add skills and expertise to our board. From a single service offered in 2011, we are currently running 5 distinct services covering rural West Cheshire.
Our board members are key to our strategic development. We offer training for trustees and we provide out of pocket expenses
Our board members will be playing a vital role in setting the strategic direction of RCS. They will be expected to comply with all of the statutory responsibilities of trusteeship. In addition, since we have a part time work force - 6 part time staff members and more than 200 volunteers - trustees also take on specific hands on pieces of work in their areas of expertise. There will be 4 trustee meetings, per year, 4 additional meetings for board and others (learning opportunities for us all) and occasional task group assignments and meetings. Trustees will be expected to take part in occasional events and activities to promote RCS to beneficiaries, funders and the general public.
We seek individuals who are passionate about enabling older people to have the lives they want to lead, and to have company and opportunities into later life. We are looking for trustees who have skills in the following areas:
expertise in dementia, expertise in contracts and legal work, marketing, the commissioning of health care, volunteer management and digital inclusion and social media. However, if you have a different skill set and you are interested , please contact us.
